"... I've had the unique privilege of having worked for tiata fahodzi on 'both sides' of the creative fence! First as a writer-performer when company founder Femi Elefowoju Jr included my play, 'Zuva Crumbling' in the Tiata Delight New Writing Festival in 2007. In 2009 the company commissioned me to write, 'Memory Play'. When I was then invited in 2010 to apply for the role of Artistic Director, I didn't hesitate. tiata fahodzi endorsed, supported and backed me at every stage of my artistic journey and offered me a platform that not only allowed me to express myself unapologetically as a black- African-British theatre-maker but made me feel that my voice and experiences were a valuable, exciting and vital part of the rich cultural tapestry of modern Britain.
