The Match/Play Artist Online Showcase
After months of hard work and collaborations, our Match/Play artists have created three new work-in-progress ideas ready to share with audiences. We'll also be catching up with the pairs on their collaboration experience.
Match/Play Artists
Raphael Dada (multidisciplinary) & Karis Beaumont (photographic artist).
Together, they'll be producing a 'Black British Yearbook'. An intergenerational exploration of the immigrant experience through portraiture, music & food.
Raphael Dada
As a Nigerian-born multidisciplinary artist, Raphael Dada has taken his practice through many forms, ranging from videography, screen print, to installations. He desires to tell stories about the black cultural experience that mainstream media & the education system omit.
Karis Beaumont
Karis is a photographic artist with work ranging from portraiture to fashion photography. As founder of Bumpkin Files, a community resource which explores Black life in Britain beyond the London-centric narrative, she is an accomplished visual storyteller.
Alexander Williams (singer/writer/actor) & Lexie Dufficy (singer-songwriter).
Together, they'll create a brand-new MUSICAL. Currently untitled, it’ll explore the many facets of race, identity & what it means to be a black/mixed-race person in Britain today.
Alexander Williams
Alexander Williams is a singer, writer, teacher, actor and director. He hosts the popular Dial Up Open Mic, celebrating community and creativity. Twice part of Royal Court’s Writers, he is also a resident poet/reviewer for Humanistically Speaking Magazine & the Watford Fringe.

Lexie Dufficy
As a singer-songwriter, Lexie Dufficy also has a background in dance & theatre. She has headlined the UK’s legendary Boiler Room, and with an evolving artistry as well as a growing portfolio for the world to listen to, her upcoming singles and EPs are only the start!
Stephanie Stevens (actor/writer/singer) & Jasmine Kahlia (multi-disciplinary).
Together, they have created 'FINESSE' – a two-hander musical story told through lyrics & live music from a loop machine. It explores loneliness, scamming, insecurities & belonging.

As an actor, writer & singer, Stephanie has performed in the Park Theatre, Theatre 503, Rich Mix & Bush Theatre. Winner of the 2022 Our Voice Bursary and profiled as an Emerging Artist by The Old Vic.
Jasmine Kahlia
A multi-disciplinary artist, Jasmine Kahlia has worked regionally & internationally. Recent work includes 'Divine Beings' [Norwich Fringe Festival] & 'Diosa Callejera' [VAULT Festival]. She has also had residencies across Wild Plum Arts/Britten Pears House & New Diorama.
